Band D by billing authority for the five years before the current series. The series starts in 2020-21 because that is the first edition to print an ONS code beside each authority; earlier editions give names only, and matching fifteen years of names through mergers and renames would be a judgement this site would be making rather than reading. Authorities abolished before the current boundaries — the Cumbria, North Yorkshire and Somerset districts — are left out rather than folded into their successors, because the published table does not say what the successor's figure would have been.
