Dwellings on the Council Tax valuation lists by band

Dwellings on the Council Tax valuation lists as at 31 March, split by band A to H (and band I in Wales, whose list has run from A to I since 1 April 2005). The band reflects the dwelling's value at the list's valuation date — 1 April 1991 in England, 1 April 2003 in Wales — not its value today, and it fixes what each household pays as a ratio of the Band D charge.

Rows
; values are the sum of the published rows for each band and period.
Caveat
Current property values or sale prices. Bands are only revised on specific events (a sale after alterations, a successful challenge), so an area's band mix moves slowly even where prices have not. Counts of one to four dwellings in a band are suppressed.
