Statutory homelessness in England: detailed local authority tables
Only the January-to-March-2026 file onwards is readable: MHCLG redesigned the workbook into accessible single-header sheets (with a Cover naming the quarter and status) for that release, and every earlier quarter uses a merged multi-row layout this extractor does not parse — the series therefore starts at 2026 Q1 and grows quarterly. Each quarter lives on its own release page, so publication_url must be repointed when a new quarter appears. Figures are rounded to the nearest 10 and small cells are suppressed ("[c]"), so components can differ slightly from published totals elsewhere; the accommodation-type and duty splits are required to sum to their totals within rounding drift, and the extractor enforces that. Temporary-accommodation tables are a stock at the quarter's end; assessment tables are a flow during the quarter.
